The Harz Mountains were full of hawks.
Since Russ likes hawks, we were stopping quite frequently to take pictures.
Take a good look at this road-it's a construction access point for the highway crews.Note the big ditches on either side (and the middle) of the lane.
There just happened to be a number of hawks above that particular construction site.
It was much easier driving into the work site than out of it - there's no place to turn around.
But at least we saw hawks!
